WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN THINGS DON’T GO AS PLANNED??

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN THINGS DON’T GO AS PLANNED??

Do you curse?
Stomp your feet?
Cry?
Yell?
Blame yourself or others?

Sometimes the best thing we can do is PAUSE.

Friends, I’m in the middle of a move. I’m figuring out how to release and let go of not only my current house but outdated things.

I’m releasing...

Furnishings
Clothing
Environments
Experiences
And ultimately ENERGY.

But like the normal person, I got plans and plans.

So last night after a day of shopping for new things that I need — because I’ve made room for them by saying goodbye to the old 👋🏽 — I had planned to clean out my clothing drawers.

I get home and my house is PITCH BLACK. In fact, the entire neighborhood was black. All of our power was out. There was a scheduled maintenance by my electric company.

So, rather than getting frustrated or upset because of the big monkey wrench in my plans, I decided to laugh. 😆

And like a crazy woman, I started laughing. Laughing at the irony of the dark house, the limited time in my house, the failed plans and all the signs that Spirit was saying you’ve done enough today.

It’s time to rest and reflect. I’ve been getting these messages lately about pausing and slowing down. (check out Monday’s MindSoulful Monday - link below).

Rather than get upset or waste any more precious energy on a situation that is what it is - I decided to make it fun. Time for a sleepover. Time to find a place I could crash.

Time to just enjoy the moment.

The stuff isn’t going anywhere.

And it’s honestly my soul and energy that will make everything move in flow or disarray. So I’m going to tend to my energy.

And I woke up this morning feeling rested and relieved. I’m also trusting everything will work out as it should.

Where could you use a little more trust? What do you need to release?

In presence and gratitude,
Brooke-Sidney

P.S. stay tuned for updates on things I’m finding new homes for - furniture, desk, toys, kid stuff and more. Excited to feel freer!!
